Sacred Melody: The enchantment of Ancient India | Performance Intensive with Masala Indian Fusion Collective

A unique choreographic experience that fuses the traditions of Indian classical dance with the modernity of Indian Fusion. The intensive is directed by Elizabeth Medina, Leli Neeraja and Lamia Barbara of the Masala Indian Fusion Collective. Drawing inspiration from ancient sacred texts, the intensive will celebrate dance and theater as a meaningful expression.
These sacred phrases will be the soundtrack of our choreography, offering a showcase that combines music, words and movement in an extraordinary artistic fusion. Through dance, we will try to understand its profound meaning and translate it into elegant and engaging movements. Every step, every gesture and every facial expression will tell a story, creating an intense and engaging storytelling. Our goal is to share with the audience the beauty and depth of the roots of Indian classical dance, transforming it into a modern art form that celebrates the continuity of traditions.

The students will work on a musical selection and artistic inspiration proposed by the teacher and will create an intense and harmonious group performance, to be presented at the Gala Show on Saturday, May 25th, at 9:00 pm at Centrale Preneste Teatro.
